Santiago Matías, president of the business platform, explained that this contribution is a simple «grain of sand» within the multiple efforts needed to ensure the child returns safe and sound to his family. Matías called on all sectors of the country to join in support of the rescue organizations, the Dominican State, and the community, in the search for the child.
The youngest, Roldanis Calderón, was last seen while playing with other children in a wooded area, near the J. Armando Bermúdez National Park.
Alofoke Media Group’s contribution was made in response to the desperate call of Carolina Vargas Ureña, the child’s mother, who has requested help through an emotional video broadcast on social media.
In the video, Vargas Ureña addresses the audience with these words: “Hello to all the people of TikTok, to everyone who sees this video, who is a father or mother, please, I ask you to help me find my son, who went missing on Sunday in a field in Jarabacoa called La Ciénaga de Manabao.”
The mother, visibly affected, appeals to the solidarity of Dominican society to find her son and be able to reunite her family again.
